Our Lady’s Honour Offended – Prayer Vigil

Prayer Vigil in Reparation to Blasphemy

Catholic Ireland, the isle of St. Patrick, a place free from the plight of Blasphemy, right? Think again, the blasphemous art exhibit “Our Lady and Other Queer Santas,” by the self-avowed lesbian Alma Lopez, is on display at the University College Cork and now open to the general public.

The matter was created vibrant discussion on Joe Duffy’s RTE radio program ‘liveline’ on Friday, 17 June. (Curiously the show is not available for playback.)  Many called in to defend the honour of their mother of Heaven they so respect and love.

Sadly, the digital photo collage of ‘Our Lady’ shows Our Lady of Guadalupe in a floral bikini, hands on hips, held up by a bare breasted angel. Incredible!!!

On June 24th, the University College Cork  is hosting the blasphemous art exhibit “Our Lady and Other Queer Santas” as part of a conference on Hispanic Studies. First Floor – Block B East O’Rahilly Building.

Professor of Hispanic Studies & Head of Department

Tell the University College Cork (Ireland) how shocked, hurt and offended you are by this. Send an e-mail protest to the college. Ask your friends to protest too!

At the same conference on Hispanic Studies, Alma Lopez will talk about “Our Lady and Other Queer Santas.”

She will also sign copies of her blasphemous book called “Our Lady of Controversy: Alma Lopez’s ‘Irreverent’ Apparition,” which has that same blasphemous and impure collage of Our Lady of Guadalupe on its cover.

Now, what can we do?

You, are invited to help in an act of reparation that will be held on two different occasions at the main gate University College Cork . If you are offended, come and defend Our Lady’s honour.

The Rosary of Reparation will take place:

Main Gate, on College Road, Cork
Thursday, 23rd June, 4:30pm
Saturday, 25th June, 12:30pm
