Catholics Take to the Streets of Kilmacud

By Julian Pace

On the 20th of November, a group of Catholics defending the truthfulness of Church teachings braved freezing temperatures to pray 15 decades of the Most Holy Rosary in reparation for a pro-transgender event that took place at the Kilmacud Parish Hall that same evening.

The public rosary, which was organised by Irish Society for Christian Civilisation, and its campaign Ireland Needs Fatima, started with only a handful of participants; however, as the event progressed, the group began to increase as passers by joined the public rosary and the defense of the Catholic Church’s authentic teachings on Natural Law. This mirrored the positive reception to the Rosary Rally from the local community and commuters, with many hooting their horns, giving thumbs-ups, and offering words of encouragement to the praying Catholics.

Event organisers, local left-wing politicians, and a trans activist were clearly startled, coming out to take photos, but too ashamed to engage with the brave and joyful Catholics withstanding the harsh elements, and singing hymns and praying to Our Lord.

The gates of Hell shall never prevail against the Church. The pro-transgender event went ahead, but the group that gathered outside that evening clearly and boldly echoed Church teaching on sexuality. Truth will never be silenced
