From December 26 to January 1, members and volunteers of TFP and TFP Student Action took part in a Winter Academy in Creutzwald to celebrate the Christmas season and the new year. The retreat tremendously aided participants in preparing for the coming year by meditating on what it means to live a Christian life and how to put it into practice.
Talks, Lectures and Stories
The retreat included many interesting talks and meetings about various topics, including: The Effect of Geopolitics on Christendom, Chivalry and the story of Our Lady’s ‘Grand Return’ in France during WWII. The stories of great saints inspired all present to put into practice the virtues and values they have shown us through their lives. The many talks were given by Messrs. Julio Loredo, José Eureta and Daniel Martins, all members of the TFP. Quizzes were then given to participants to test their knowledge of the topics. These encouraged everyone to take notes to ensure the questions were answered.
Activities and Games
The programme included many activities such as sword fighting and lessons. Swordsmanship lessons were given by Mr Gregory Murphy and included various handling positions and manoeuvres. Each lesson ended with sword battles, encouraging a competitive spirit. The participants also hiked for hours through the mountains, taking in the amazing view and some interesting WWII anti tank technology.
TFP Student Action New Recruits
TFP Student Action Europe welcomed 12 new recruits from all over Europe, including Germany, Ireland and Poland. Receiving their pins took place in the chapel, followed by many congratulations. These pins represent the commitment these young men are making to the group.

New Year’s Eve Celebrations
The busiest day of all was New Year’s Eve, with the Holy Mass being followed by prayers and meditation for the coming year. This was also the final day of the Triduum, 3 days of reflection and prayer in preparation for the new year. After this, a New Year’s Banquet was enjoyed by all, bringing the programme to a memorable end.

Sign the Three Hail Mary Pledge
This year, it is more crucial than ever that we turn to prayer and intercession to increase devotion to Our Lady across our country. That’s why you’re invited to join us in the Three Hail Marys Pledge, a powerful devotion that can bring personal spiritual benefits and national transformation. By reciting three Hail Marys daily, you honour the Immaculate Heart of Mary and seek her intercession for the conversion of sinners, the salvation of souls and the restoration of Ireland’s Catholic Faith. This ancient devotion, revealed to Saint Mechtilde, promises spiritual benefits including protection from mortal sin and the assurance of a good death. Your daily prayers will contribute to an increase in devotion to Our Lady, the conversion of sinners and the moral renewal of our country. Let us commit to this powerful devotion and seek the guidance and protection of Our Lady.
